Jen is a screenwriter and writer from London. A former Primary School Teacher, Jen cut her teeth in stand-up comedy, taking three shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, with her one-woman show being selected as part of the Soho Rising Festival at Soho Theatre. She's also acted in several comedy roles, performed her live comedy set for the BBC Asian Network and BBC iplayer and has hosted her own Radio 1 podcast.Jen has always loved bringing characters to life, whether it be on stage or in a script. She has a passion for writing about identity, belonging and play with a comedic twist. Her CBBC short, ‘The Main Part’, based on her own experiences growing up as a mixed-race girl, was nominated for a BAFTA in 2021. She has continued to write on various children’s live action and animation shows and has written songs and sketches for Horrible Histories.
